HP SitePrint + Trimble RTS

Precision Floor Layout
Printed Directly from CAD

Setline pairs an HP SitePrint robot with a Trimble robotic total station. Together they print accurate layouts on concrete: walls, ceilings, beams, T-bar, electrical, HVAC, fire protection, warehouse racks and data centers. Straight lines, arcs and circles. One operator. Millimeter accuracy.

Robot + Trimble Station

HP SitePrint does not work alone. Layout accuracy comes from the robot locked to a Trimble robotic total station.

01

Trimble Total Station

The Trimble RTS sets site control and tracks the printer in real time. It is the same instrument used for conventional layout, so existing control points stay valid.

02

HP SitePrint Robot

The robot follows the coordinated model and prints lines, points and text on the slab. Position is continuously corrected by the Trimble station.

03

One Coordinated System

CAD or BIM data goes into the print file. The station and robot share that file. What is in the drawing is what gets printed on the floor.

What We Print

Straight runs, openings, arcs, circles and point marks — printed from your CAD or BIM files.

01

Interior Walls & Framing

Metal stud tracks, drywall partitions, door openings and wall centerlines for framing crews.

02

Ceilings & T-Bar

Suspended ceiling grids, T-bar layouts, bulkheads and ceiling references marked on the floor.

03

Beams & Structural

Beam lines, column grids and load-bearing element locations for steel and concrete coordination.

04

MEP Systems

Electrical outlets, conduits, HVAC ducts, fire protection lines, sprinkler points and penetrations.

05

Warehouse Racking

Racking footprints, aisle markings and anchor points for warehouses and logistics buildings.

06

Data Centers

Raised floor grids, cabinet footprints, cable tray routes and equipment locations.

07

Arcs & Curves

Radius walls, curved partitions, arched openings and sweep layouts printed as true arcs — not a chain of short straight segments.

08

Circles & Radii

Full circles, circular rooms, column surrounds, tank or equipment pads, and radius marks with a defined center point.

09

Text & Point Marks

Room names, grid labels, elevation notes and point IDs printed next to the layout so crews can read the floor without a drawing in hand.

How It Works

From digital model to printed floor. Robot and Trimble station work as one system.

1

Receive Your Files

Send 2D CAD (DWG/DXF) or an extract from BIM. We prepare the print-ready layout, including lines, arcs, circles and labels.

2

Set the Trimble Station

We occupy site control and set up the Trimble robotic total station. The printer locks to that station before any ink hits the slab.

3

Robot Prints

HP SitePrint prints walls, tracks, arcs, circles, points and text. The Trimble station keeps the path on model coordinates (±3 mm).

4

Ready for Installation

Framing, MEP and other trades start from the printed lines. No chalk lines. No measuring drift between crews.

Why Robotic Layout

Measurable advantages over chalk line and manual total-station layout.

Speed

Layout rates up to 10× faster than manual methods. Large floor plates that used to take days can be completed in hours with one operator.

Accuracy

±3 mm (1/8 inch) from the digital model, held by the Trimble station while the robot prints. Fewer layout errors and less rework.

Complex Geometry

Arcs and circles print as designed. Radius walls and circular layouts do not have to be stepped off by hand.

Labor & Coordination

One operator. Walls, doors, MEP and structure come from the same coordinated file, so clashes show up before install.

Typical Projects

Commercial, industrial and specialized facilities across Alberta.

Commercial Interiors

Office towers, medical clinics, schools, retail and tenant improvements. Full wall and ceiling layout packages.

Industrial & Warehouse

Racking systems, production lines, mezzanines and large open floor plates that need speed and repeatability.

Data Centers & Critical Facilities

High-density cabinet layouts, raised access floors, equipment positioning and MEP coordination.
